AUSTINTOWN - Daniel J. Pesa, 70, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Dec. 28, 2014, at his home with his family by his side.
Daniel was born March 18, 1944, in Youngstown, a son of the late Edward and Mary Tisone Pesa, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1962 graduate of South High School and worked as an optician for 50 years, first at United Optical, then E.B. Brown Optical at the Eastwood Mall in Niles, and retired in 2013 from Total Life Care (TCL) in Garrettsville.
Dan is survived by his wife, Nancy R. Weaver Pesa, whom he married on July 6, 1963; two sons, Edward J. Pesa of Columbus and Richard J. Pesa of Austintown; a granddaughter, Justina Pesa of Columbus; and his faithful dog, Sandy.
Two sisters, Donna Jean Lubonovic and Amelia Hudak, and a brother, Donald Pesa, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held today, TUESDAY, Dec. 30, at Green Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel in Austintown at 1 p.m.. There are no calling hours.
