Deshawn Ray Daniel

Deshawn Ray Daniel, 25, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2014.

He was born April 28, 1990. From the beginning of his life Deshawn was very loving, fun and outgoing. As a child Deshawn enjoyed building soap box cars with his father and competing in the Soap Box Derbys, where he won multiple titles and trophies. Deshawn graduated from Buchtel High School in 2009. Deshawn was a dedicated employee of Myers Industries where he took pride in working long hours. He was a devoted and caring father who loved his children. Deshawn enjoyed spending his free time organizing card parties, going to the casino, playing baseball and cracking jokes on his siblings.

Deshawn was well loved by everyone who knew him. He always had a big infectious smile and could make anyone laugh. Deshawn will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Suzanne Alexander and uncle, Sammy Colvin, Jr. He will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Arminda Daniel and Bobby Ray Colvin. He leaves behind his lovely children, Aliece and Deshawn Jr.; his beloved siblings, Robert Ray, Shawndale Ray, Jazmyn, Jaquana, Lashunda, Myiesha, Karl Ray, Little Bobbi, Raymel Ray, Raelyn, Amari Ray, and Tyrone; grandparents, Maggie Colvin and Sammie Colvin, Sr.; uncles, Jimmie, Howard, and William; aunts, Linda (Darnell), and Kimberly; and a host of loved family and friends.

Service will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 12 Noon at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307, Rev. Kerry Hall officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 840 Winton Ave., Akron, OH 44320.
