Obituary for James L Meyer
James L. Meyer, age 80, of Wickliffe, passed away Dec. 16, 2014. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Dolores (Deal); loving father of Denise (Mark) Bijak, Kenneth and Robert; special grandpa to Tony (Beth) Wencil; and great grandfather of Josie Marie; dear brother of Carolyn Meyer. He was preceded in death by brothers Donald Meyer and Ernest Poole. Jim was a Marine veteran serving in Korea. He worked as a machine repairman at several shops including Lucas Machine and Mach Machine. Jim liked to fish, especially in Canada. He enjoyed faceting and was a member of the Parma Lapidary Club. Jim also enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels with his wife, Dolores. In addition, he volunteered as a gardener for Keep Wickliffe Beautiful, Borromeo Seminary and Ronald Mc Donald House. Family to receive family and friends at Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, Wickliffe, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass will be Saturday, Dec. 20, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (Wickliffe) at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations may be made in Jim''s memory to Ronald McDonald house.
