Rachel M. Cox, 73, went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2014.
She was born on February 17, 1941 in Kewanee, Illinois to Arthur and Elaine Van-Damme.
She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and the American Legion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elaine Van Damme; and ex-husband, J.W. Cox. She leaves to cherish her loving memory son, Tony (Dana) Cox; three daughters; grandchildren, Armond Cox of Atlanta, Ga., Tyler, Tanner, Tovia, Talynn and Tony Cox Jr., and Trevier Moore all of Akron; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of service. Jerry Gould, Eulogizing. Minister Keisha Bell, Officiating. Procession will form and condolences can be sent to 815 E. Crosier Street, Akron, Ohio 44306.
