Obituary for Helen F Wildermuth

Memorial services for Helen F. (Hughes) Wildermuth, 91, of Willowick, will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at The Kirtland Community of Christ, 9017 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland. Elders Don and Lynn Erickson will officiate at the service. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, one hour prior to the service, at the church. Mrs. Wildermuth passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. Born May 8, 1923 in Mapleton, Kansas, she has lived in Willowick for the past 60 years. She was a member of The Kirtland Community of Christ and served as a church organist for many years. She was also an avid bowler, participating in many leagues affiliated with the Willoughby-Eastlake Schools. Mrs. Wildermuth was employed by the Willoughby-Eastlake Board of Education as school secretary, first at Shoregate Elementary and then at Royalview Elementary, both in Willowick. She retired in 1987. Survivors are her son, Michael (Cynthia) Wildermuth of Willoughby and daughter-in-law, Laura Sue Wildermuth of Carrollton, TX; grandchildren, Kevin (Veronica) Wildermuth, James (Jacquelyn) Wildermuth, Brenda (Patrick) Flanagan, Cara Wildermuth and Alexa Wildermuth; and great-grandchildren, Brianna, Joshua and Isaiah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Erle H. Wildermuth on October 27, 2008; and her son, Dr. James F. Wildermuth in 2007; her parents, Leroy and Nina (Bleil) Hughes; and siblings, Donald, Mildred, Vida, Henry, and Elbert, are also deceased. Private family interment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
