Edward Smith
Edward Smith went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2014.
He was born on February 21, 1936 in Sylacau-ga, Alabama to Ambust Smith and Berniece Williams.
He was a resident of this community and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ambust Smith; mother, Berniece Williams; sisters, Doris Porter, Eloise Lewis, Tommie Lue Walker, Sadie McIver and Patricia Templeton.
He leaves to forever cherish his loving memory wife, Geraldine Smith; sons, Duane Ford, Paul (Elissa) and Phillip (Danni) Ellis; daughters, Carol (Paul) Smith-Duckworth and Lauren Ellis all of Akron, Ohio; granddaughter, Janae Duckworth; brothers, Charles (Gladys) Smith of Akron, Ohio, Walter Williams of Arizona, and Byron Williams (Kenna) of Canton, Ohio; sisters, Gloria Williams of Akron, Ohio, Vernocia (Richard) Craig of Bath Township; special brother-in-law, Harold Ellis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 12 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 11 until time of service. Pastor Gary Foreman, Officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences can be sent to 775 Bertha Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306.
