Obituary for Helen O'Palick

AUSTINTOWN – A funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at St. Peter and Paul Croatian Roman Catholic Church for Helen C. O’Palick, 86, who died Saturday at her daughter’s residence.

Mrs. O’Palick was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Tomsic) Korak.

Helen was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Local 66. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards.

She leaves behind her two children, Nicholas (Elizabeth Bernard) O’Palick of Canfield and Charlene (James) Matune of Canfield; grandchildren Todd (Michele) O’Palick, Nicholas (Alexandra Rinehart) Matune, Jamie Matune, Lucas and Abigail Franken; and great-grandchildren Mia, Hunter and Brooke O’Palick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas O’Palick; and brother John Korak.

Friends may call today, Nov. 17, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
