Emery Louise Cook "Ms. Cook", 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 7, 2014.
She was born on December 9, 1917 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Emery Staley and Ella Pearson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Ella Staley; husband, James Cook; son, Dallas L. Cook; and son-in-law, William Jones. She leaves to forever cherish her loving memory, sons, Ralph (Meilani) Cook of Canton, Ohio and Gerald (Delisa) Cook of Decatur, Georgia; daughter, Sharon Cook-Jones of Akron, Ohio; her gals, LaShawn Armour and Maleka Armour; grandson, Curtis Cook whom she helped raise; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and special thank you to Summa Hospice.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 12 until time of service, Elder Joseph Lee eulogizing. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Procession will form at 899 Ada Street, Akron, Ohio 44306. Condolences can be sent to Rhoden Memorial Home.
