Obituary for Flora Meco

Flora Meco, age 83, of Willoughby, loving sister and aunt, went home to be with her Lord on Nov. 7, 2014, at Fairmount Health Care Center of Breckenridge Village in Willoughby. Flora was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Italy. Flora excelled in all her endeavors. She graduated valedictorian of her class, was a gifted pianist and church accompanist, had a successful career as an assistant physicist for Gulf Oil Research Co. in Pittsburgh until she had to retire due to Multiple Sclerosis which she fought with courage and faith since she was 19 years of age. Most of all, she loved and supported her family. She leaves a legacy of love and kindness and was an example of someone who lived and loved like Christ to all who knew her. Survivors are her sisters, Nicki, Clara (Richard) Kratche and Helen (Joseph) Casagni; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a great-great-niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurino and Olimpia Meco; and brother, Paul Meco. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave., in Willoughby, where the family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Twp. Contributions may be made to Fairmount Health Care Center of Breckenridge Village or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
