Obituary for Samuel Dmytryshyn

Samuel Dmytryshyn, age 99 of Seymour, formerly a longtime time resident of Oxford, died peacefully on October 3, 2014 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 10, 1915, he was the son of the late Constantine and Tekla Dmytryshyn. Mr. Dmytryshyn was a graduate of Pine High School and worked as a machinist for the Farrell- Birmingham Co. for over 40 years, until his retirement in 1978. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Dmytryshyn is survived by his devoted niece, Jean Hadden and her husband, Gerald of Derby; great-nephews, Philip Hadden and his wife Wendy of Shelton and Matthew Hadden and his wife Kerri of FL; great-great niece and nephew, Amanda and Timothy Hadden of Shelton; Cousins, “Aunt” Val Shingara, Valerie Shingara, Steven (and son Steven) Shingara and “Goddaughter” Katherine Shingara; all of Oxford. Funeral Services and interment are private. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
