Obituary for Donald E. Plante
Donald E. Plante, 71, of Chester Twp, went home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2014, after passing away at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts.
He was born April 20, 1943, grew up in Berwick, ME, and lived in Chesterland for the past 32 years.
Don held a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and was a senior executive with General Electric (NY, MD), Picker International/Marconi Medical, and Work in Northeast Ohio Council. He enjoyed running, bowling, and traveling.
He is the loving husband of Linda (nee Fleck); father of Dawn Marie, Matthew, Michael (Vicky), Jason (Catherine), and Jonathan (Michelle); grandfather/Papa of Ruth, Lucas, Jackson, Sarah, Lydia, and Adrianna; brother of Nancy (Arthur) Tarbox, Eugene Jr. (Karen), and half-sister, Sandra (Wayne) Smith; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene; mother, Margaret (nee Martin); brother, Richard (Elsie); and sister, Judith (Bob) Stewart.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 29 at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 30, at 10 a.m. at Mayfield Village Baptist Church, 6500 Highland Rd., Mayfield Village.
Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Twp, Ohio.
