Leless (Walker) Milner transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Annie (Well) Walker and seven of eight siblings, James C. (Edie) Walker, Eddie (Alice) Walker, Charlie (Myrtle) Walker, Edna Mae Phelps, Annie Mae Clarke, Jimmie Louise Walker and Lucille Walker; she is also preceded by one beloved great nephew, David TiRay Singfield.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband of fifty one years, George W. Milner; sister, Emma Lee Johnson; special nieces and nephew, Letha Johnson, LaRita Clarke, Daphanie (Ernest) Walker and James (Beth) Johnson; stepdaughter, Irma (Reginald) Lane of Raleigh, N.C.; beloved great niece, Sybil Singfield; and great, great nephew, Lessley Ivery; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; nieces, nephews and a host of treasured relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307. Jehovah Witness officiating. Family and friends may visit the chapel from 1 p.m. until time of services. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 875 Seward Ave., Akron, OH 44320. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery at a later date.
