Obituary for Phyllis Delmont

BERLIN CENTER - Services celebrating the life of Phyllis R. Delmont, 78, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.

Phyllis was born Jan. 30, 1936, in Salem, the daughter of Russell and Edna Mae Luxieul Toot.

She was a member of the Real Life Assembly Church in Salem, Tri-State Antique Car Club, Antique Car Club of America and the Model A Ford Club.

Phyllis worked with her husband Tony at American Auto Sales for 45 years until retiring in 2007. She loved to do crafts and travel the United States in antique cars. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, Tony whom she married Feb. 7, 1952, and children Sonny Delmont of Berlin Center and Jeanne Delmont of North Jackson. Phyllis also leaves her grandchildren, Michelle, Brian, Megan Delmont, Bob Clark, and Nick Gatrell; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers Ed and Richard Toot, and sister Patty Wilms, all of Salem.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Jack Darney will officiate, with burial in Green Haven Cemetery.
