DOROTHY SHEEHAN

“Together Forever”

AUSTINTOWN - A graveside service will be held Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Green Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, for Dorothy Sheehan, 84, who died early Tuesday morning at home, surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Vincennes, Ind., to Frances and Orpha (Armstrong) Sims.

She was a graduate of River Rouge High School and dedicated her life to her husband and children. Dorothy enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Troy, Pa., and playing the lottery, especially her “scratchies.” Her greatest pleasure, though, was sitting on the back porch surrounded by her family and friends.

Her husband, John M. “Jack” Sheehan, whom she married Jan. 31, 1948, died Oct. 23, 2004.

Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Cathy Sheehan of Austintown, Sandra Burchett of Canfield and Debra Fusillo of Girard; a son, John Sheehan of Youngstown; two brothers, Frances (Margaret) Sims of Dearborn, Mich., and Gary (Bok) Sims of Arizona; five grandchildren, Michael Fusillo, Jason Fusillo, Jami Fusillo, Michelle Burchett, and Cassie Burchett Ragazzine; and five great-grandchildren, Hannah Fusillo, Kaleigh Fitz-Patrick, Aiden Fitz-Patrick, Emma Uhlar, and Liam Uhlar.

She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Sheehan.

Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
