Henry L. Nealy Jr. (Hank) made his transition from this earthly life to the next on July 10, 2014.
Hank was born February 18, 1947 to Henry Sr. and Perine Nealy. He was a lifelong resident of Akron. He attended Akron Public Schools-Robinson, Goodyear, and graduating from East High School. Throughout his life he was an exceptional athlete. He was a veteran; he worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, after the closing of the plant he worked for Dominion where he retired after 20 years of service. His greatest love was his family. He also loved to fish and watch sports either in person or on the television.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving sister, Carol Pryor. He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Aaron (Wendy) Saulsberry, Jason Nealy, Kimberly Nealy, Jennette Jeffries-Nealy, Nisha Sena and Shannon Saulsberry; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
Services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 940 McKinley Ave., Akron, OH 44306; Rev. Lorenzo Glenn officiating. Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form at 788 Bulger St., Akron, OH 44306 and condolences may be sent to 399 Homestead, Akron, OH 44306.
