Fannie W. Cunningham

Fannie W. Cunningham (affectionately called "Mamoo") was born October 29, 1922 in Valdosta, Ga. to the late Henry and Essie Davis. She moved to Akron, Ohio where she was employed by B.F. Goodrich for thirty-one years. She met and married the love of her life, Eddie B. Cunningham and from their union three children were born. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful servant at New Trinity Baptist Church and later as a member of United Baptist Church.

She made her transition to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 3, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and the "apple of her eye", her first born grandson, Jarrell Cunningham; sisters, Ruby Howell, Florence Brooks, Escile Osboro, and Gertrude Garner; brothers, Owens Henry Davis and Hezekiah Davis. She leaves to mourn, her children, Maxine Cunningham, Eddie Cunningham (Ilona) and Tracey (Tony) Patterson; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren; sister, Almarine Stewart; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Service will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at 12 Noon at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307, Pastor Kevin Rushin officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form at 654 Madison Ave., Akron, OH 44320 and condolences may be sent to 1130 Orchard Ln., Amelia, OH 45102.
