Obituary for Louise Miller
Louise Helen (Riesterer) Miller
age 97, of Massillon, entered her eternal rest on
Saturday, June 28, 2014. She was the last surviving sibling of twelve born to
Nicholas and Marie (Colley) Riesterer in Wilmot,
Ohio on Oct. 31, 1916. Louise
belonged to St. Mary''s Rosary-Altar Society and along with her sister Marie
Greenfelder was a charter member of St. Mary Quilting Group. She displayed
courage and inspiration to others coping with diminishing sight and eventual
blindness. Her children were lovingly presented with quilts and each grandchild
received a graduation and wedding quilt, and great-grandchildren and others
baby quilts. Her legacy includes gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, letter
writing, friendship to many, and was a living example of St. Francis of Assisi. Mrs. Miller was
preceded in death by her husband, Harry Tedford Miller, two sons, Lawrence
Arthur and Timothy John, and son-in-law, Kenneth Hamel. She is survived by her
children, Janet L. (Miller) Hamel and James H. and Gwendolyn B. Miller;
grandchildren, Mark Miller, Connie Miller, Melissa and Brad Bartolone, Kendra
and Michael Nasvadi, James B. Miller, Dorothy and Royden Kern and Katherine
Miller; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Marjorie Miller. A Mass
of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St.
Mary''s Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Gretchko Officiating. Burial will follow
at Rose Hill Memorial
Gardens.
