Obituary for David S. Gambatese
David Santino Gambatese, 13, of Wickliffe, was granted angel wings on June 25, 2014 following a lifelong struggle with asthma, at Hospice House, Cleveland.
He was born Dec. 26, 2000 in Mayfield Hts.
Despite his illness, David was active with sports, bowling and golf. David''s sense of humor was infectious. He loved hanging out being a teenager as a 7th grader at Wickliffe Middle School. His friends came to be at his side during his illness, along with a huge outpouring of support from our community, family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Stacy Totarella Gambatese; his sisters, Jessica Gambatese, Kimberly Gambatese, Kelly Gambatese Clark; his brother, Kenneth J. Gambatese, Jr.; and his maternal grandparents, Linda and Steven Barker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth J. Gambatese, Sr., in 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Twp.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family will be appreciated.
