Obituary for Harry C Hoch

Harry C. Hoch, 93, of Kutztown, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of 71 years of Melba D. (Miller) Hoch, who died April 22, 2015. Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late Harry H. and Sally V. (Heck) Hoch. Harry was a United States Army veteran, honorably and faithfully serving his country in World War II. Harry was a prisoner-of-war in a German Stalag for six months in Moosburg, Germany.

He was employed as an oil burner mechanic by the former George Y. Brubaker, Inc., Kutztown for 13 years, retiring in 1994. Prior to that, he worked as a mechanic at the former Lentz Milling Company, Reading. Harry is survived by a Sister, Ruth (Hoch) Adam, Trexlertown. He was predeceased by his Wife, Melba; Parents, Harry and Sally; and a Brother, Calvin Hoch.

Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. There are no calling hours.
