Obituary for John Paul Rocki
John P. Rocki, 95, of Russell Township went to be with the Lord June 8, 2014, at Chardon Healthcare.
He was born Aug. 8, 1918, in Melville, Pa., to Frank and Veronica (nee Rube) Rocki, he had been a longtime area resident.
John served with the US Army during World War II before marrying Stella Sanford on April 21, 1946, in Montgomery County, Tenn.
John retired from TRW as a machinist. He was an active member of the Huntsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Rocki of Russell Township; son, John (Arlene) of Russell Township; granddaughter, Caitlin Mae Rocki of Russell Township; brother, Rudy of Alliance; sister, Anne Rocki of Alliance and nieces, Cheryl and Karen of Alliance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Huntsburg Baptist Church, 16401 Mayfield Rd. Huntsburg, OH 44046. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
Friends may gather from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Alzheimer''s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
