Obituary for James Tetreault

Jim "J.T." Tetreault, 80, died peacefully in his own home May 27, 2014.

Jim was born in New Mexico and was an Akron resident for nearly 40 years. He was a business executive, who was often surrounded by well-worn novels. The beauty of nature and the sportsmanship it afforded in the farthest reaches of the United States, from skiing the Rockies to riding a mule in the Grand Canyon, was one of his great passions. His greatest passion though was St. Bernard Church and the outreach opportunities it afforded his spirit of giving and dedication to service through being a member of the community.

Jim was honest, observant, humorous and kind. He embodied the best of what it means to be human.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darla in 1995.

He is survived by son, Michael (Cathleen); and daughter, Magnolia (Robert) Wurgler; grandchildren, Danielle, Shawn, and Elizabeth, and mother-in-law Penny (Jim) Ralston.
