NORTH LIMA – Donald L. Berry, 77, went to be with our Lord and Savior Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Hospice House of Poland.

He was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Lisbon, son of the late James M. and Flora M. (Pannier) Berry.

Mr. Berry had been employed as a welder for 31 years at NRM and was a member of the Greenford Christian Church.

He was a devoted family man, who enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and camping.

His wife, Mary H. (Jackson) Berry, whom he married April 4, 1959, survives him; along with a son, David Berry of Negley; five daughters, Susan (Vince) Gould of North Lima, Cathy (David) Mellott of Austintown, Linda (Gary) Kappler of North Lima, Rosalie (Jeff) Douglas of Three Rivers, Mich., and Freida Bedford of Three Rivers; 10 grandchildren, Brian Mellott, Jennifer Gossett, Whitney Gould, Mark Kappler and Kevin Kappler, Robert Baker, Michael Baker, Andrew Berry, Adam Berry and Jenna Berry; seven great-grandchildren; and foreign exchange student Tina Grasso and husband Sib of Australia.

A son, Robert E. Baker, and brothers James and Carl “Dean” Berry preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Greenford Christian Church with the Rev. John Bush officiating.

Calling hours will be today, April 30, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home and at the church on Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Burial will be at Green Haven Memorial Park.
