Obituary for Michael Jr. Mitchell
Michael Mitchell Jr., age 73, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at UH Geauga Medical Center, in Chardon. He was born December 21,1940, in Cleveland, to Margaret (Tyzenhouse) and Michael Sidney Mitchell Sr. He was married on June 27, 1964, in Wickliffe to JudyMarlene Brush. Michael worked at Ohio Rubber for 28 years, and also worked and retired from Geneva Classic Ford. He was an active member of Ashtabula Rod & Gun Club as well as UrbandaleGun Club. He loved NASCAR and enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Brandon, bird, pheasant, deer hunting and fishing. Michael also enjoyed spoiling his granddaughter, Amanda, with shopping. He enjoyed Ham Radio and his call letters were WD8LTM. He talked with over 500 countries. Michael is survived by his son, Michael (Retta) Mitchell of Geneva; grandchildren, Amanda and Brandon Mitchell, and Kevin Knife of Chardon; great-grandchildren, Lyla Knife and Mya Knife; brother, David (Carol) Mitchell; and sister, Barbara Vargo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Mitchell; parents; and brother, Edward Mitchell. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio 44057. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Western Reserve MemorialGardens in Chesterland.>>
