Donte De''Ray Moore-Dixon
Donte was born on January 1, 1986 in Akron, Ohio. He joined a peewee football team in Colorado, and the Kenmore Youth Football Team in Akron.
Donte graduated from Kenmore High School in 2004 and was an athlete on the football and track teams. He was currently employed at an establishment known as the Basement in North Canton, Ohio and a student at Stark State College of Technology.
Donte was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby Moore; great-grandmother, Margaret Morrow; aunt, Bernice Gainer; and special cousin, Terrie Moore.
Donte leaves his legacy and remembrance in the hands of his mother, Staci; father, Dennis; brother, Davonne; sister, Brittany; grandfather, Gerald; aunt, Tina; uncle Gerald; girlfriend, Barbara; and a host of many more family and friends.
We would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Parks and all the other doctors and nurses at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Homecoming services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307. Pastor Timothy Bailey officiating. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of services. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 938 Russell Ave., Akron, OH 44307.
