Obituary for Luther S. Jones

 Luther Stacy Jones, age 82, passed away at his home in Painseville on April 18th, 2014. He was born April 23, 1931, to the late Herman and Leola Jones in Elizabethton, Tenn. Luther served in the US Navy on a minesweeper during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW 9295 in Mentor and of the Free Masons in Willoughby. He worked at GM on Coyt Road for 31 years. He was passionate about fishing and family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Layuna; his children, Randy (Lucia), Diane Buchan, William, David and Susan Kilpatrick; his 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, William (Zada); his sisters, Jean Conway and Toni Koehler; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son Luther II; his sisters, Lena Baker and Shirley Parlier. Memorial Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the funeral home, followed by inurnment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester TWP.
