Obituary for Claire J Miller

AUSTINTOWN - Claire J. Miller was called by the angels on Friday, April 4, 2014, at the age of 94, and went home to Heaven.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1920, in Galion, to the late Joseph and Caroline (Azzarello) Giaimo.

Claire was a member of the Austintown Community Church. She also was involved with many different volunteer groups and organizations. To name a few, she was a member of the Kawanis Queens, the Saxons Lady’s Branch No. 22, and a board member for P.E.R.I., a club for public employees. Claire worked as business manager for 32 years at the T.B. Sanitarium.

Left to mourn Claire’s passing is her daughter, Karen (Wayne) Lynch; her son, William (DeEtta) Miller; her grandson, Matthew Lynch; her step grandchildren, Mark (Paula) Koenig and Terri (Larry) McKinney; her four step great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Kathleen, Kevin (Jill), and Michael; and her sister, Lucille Creadon.

Claire was preceded in death by her parents; her five brothers, Ben, Anthony, Joseph, Sam, and Frank; and her three sisters, Mary, Josephine, and Carolyn.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and Wednesday, April 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Austintown Community Church, where a service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Park.
