Obituary for Barbara Mitchell
CANFIELD - Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Barbara L. Mitchell, 74, who passed away Sunday morning at her home with her family by her side.
Barbara was born May 18, 1939, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Cameron and Katherine (Hoffer) Hay.
Barbara graduated from Austintown Fitch High School. She was owner and operator of Connect II Dating Service. She was a member of the Austintown Eagles 3298. She loved to dance, read, travel and spend time with her family.
Barbara leaves her husband, Donald L. Mitchell, whom she married July 18, 1995; her two sons, Richard L. Dorling of Canfield and Gary A. (Mary) Dorling of Tampa, Fla.; two granddaughters, Rachel Stwan and Heather Steele; a great-granddaughter, Regan Stwan; three sisters, Kitty L. (Rick) Thorpe of Wierton, W.Va., Judy (Robert) Ameduri of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Sue (Dennis) Gagne of Austintown; three step children, Jackie (Lee) Fowler of Berlin Center, Dan (Carol) Mitchell of Ellsworth, and Larry (Chana Cronin) Mitchell of Berlin Center; a brother, John C. (Sue) Hay of Liberty; and two step grandchildren, Melissa and Josh Fowler.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
