Obituary for Marjorie McElroy

AUSTINTOWN – Marjorie McElroy, 90, passed away March 15, 2014, at Hospice House in Poland.

Marjorie was born in Youngstown on Dec. 8, 1923, to parents Art and Irene James.

Marjorie married Robert McElroy and together they had two sons, Richard and Darryl.

Marjorie worked for many years as a bank teller at Mahoning National Bank. She also provided a wonderful home for her family.

She enjoyed ceramics, going on walks, and sampling the cuisine of many restaurants. However, she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory, son Richard McElroy of Austintown and his long time constant companion, Mary McClimans of Niles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; and son Darryl.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel on Mahoning Avenue. A service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Green Haven Cemetery in Canfield.
