CUYAHOGA FALLS -- After a courageous battle with cancer, Ruth went home to be with The Lord on March 10, 2014.
Ruth was born in Akron, Ohio on March 27, 1934 and was a 1952 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and attended The University of Akron. Ruth enjoyed life to its fullest as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and most of all as a loving and devoted wife of sixty years. She was an avid reader who loved to write poetry, gardening, and anything to do with being outdoors, especially wintering in Florida.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; children, Carol (Vic) Hudak, Bob (Teri) Peters, David (Tammy) Peters, Linda (Dean) Ruggles; brothers, Harold (Eldine) Wisard, Dale (Janet) Wisard; grandchildren, Andrea Meyer, Brian Hudak, Leanne Magyarics, Vanessa Ruggles, Chelsea Peters, Jodi Ruggles, David Peters, Katie Peters, Abby Ruggles, Benjamin Peters, Matthew Peters; and her 11 great-grandchildren, with the twelfth one due in July; and countless nieces, nephews, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Robert Wisard and grandsons, ,Andrew Peters and Philip Hudak.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at 3rd. St. one block north of portage Trail) in Cuyahoga Falls. The funeral will be held on Friday, March 14, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Contributions can be made in Ruth''s name to the Cuyahoga Falls Cancer Club.
