Obituary for Mary J. Musser
Mass of Christian Burial for Mary (Vargo) Musser will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Gates Mills. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens. Born March 4, 1916, in Washington County, Pa., to Joseph and Julia (nee Kovacs) Vargo, she died peacefully Feb. 23, 2014, in Cleveland Heights, just shy of her 98th birthday. Mrs. Musser had worked for General Electric at Nela Park. Survivors are her two nieces, Elizabeth Jones of Pittsfield, Mass., and Joyce Matoian of Parker City, Colo.; four nephews, Richard Takacs of Anaheim, Calif., Wendell Cerne of Duxbury, Mass., Craig Cerne of Cleveland Heights, and Bruce Cerne of Euclid; as well as seven grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Musser; parents; and two sisters, Julia (Jay) Takacs and Elizabeth Cerne. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home.
