The Life of Mabel Eiseman George

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 31, 2014, at a 12:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Mabel George Eiseman, 90, who died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Camelot of Broussard.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Reverend Michael Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Church in Cow Island, Louisiana will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Eulogist will be Clayton George. Lectors will be Kyle George and Crystal George Meaux. Giftbearers will be Johnny Thibodeaux and C.J. Thibodeaux. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing "On Eagle''s Wings," "Ave Maria," "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Here I Am Lord" for the services.

Survivors include her two sons, J. David George and his wife, Jo Anne Judice, and Thomas Wayne George; three brothers, C.J. Thibodeaux and his wife, Dee, Johnny P. Thibodeaux and his wife, Della , and Waldo Thibodeaux; four grandchildren, John Clayton George, Cystal George Meaux, William Kyle George, and Caleb George; four great grandchildren, John "Jack" David George, James Christopher George, Joseph Walter George, and Madison Marie Meaux.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Clayton George; her second husband, James Eiseman; her parents, Cyril and Amelia Lopez Thibodeaux; two sisters, Marie Doré and Ethel Laviolette; and two brothers, Zerbun Thibodeaux and Reeves Thibodeaux.

A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Mable George Eiseman retired from Abdalla''s in the Oil Center after working there for twenty five years. She was a devoted Catholic who recited her rosary daily, often praying her rosary faithfully at Maison de Lafayette for over ten years. She was also an avid bridge player. Mrs. Eiseman was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

Pallbearers will be Clayton George, Kyle George, Caleb George, Brady Meaux, Michael Thibodeaux, and Rocky Laviolette.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff of Camelot of Broussard Nursing Home for their loving care and commitment.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 9:00AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10:30AM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
