The Life of JERRY LEROY FRIEDMEYER
Jerry Friedmeyer, 77, was born June 26, 1936, in Des Moines, the son of LeRoy and Mildred Friedmeyer. He passed away on January 2, 2014, at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines.
Jerry graduated from Urbandale High School in 1954. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and painting around the house, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Janice; sons, Scott Friedmeyer of Urbandale and Mark (Jennifer) Friedmeyer of Grimes, and his two grandsons, Matthew and Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of Jerry.
