The Life of DRAKE MICHAEL GUTHRIE
Drake “Drakey” Michael Guthrie, 2-year-old son of Michael and Jennifer Guthrie, was born September 18, 2011, in Des Moines, Iowa. He passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013, at Amplatz Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Drakey loved the water, watching SpongeBob (Bob Bob), chasing the family’s cat, Allie around the house, but more than anything, he loved being outside.
Drake is survived by his daddy and mommy, Mike and Jennifer Guthrie; big brother, AJ; maternal grandparents, Fred and Connie Nickens; paternal grandma, Kathy Guthrie as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Tom, great-grandma Hoch, and great great-grandma Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
