The Life of MARVIS ELINOR MCDANIEL
Marvis Elinor McDaniel, 89, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Newton Care Center.
Marvis was born December 16, 1923 in Leath, North Dakota, the daughter of Louis and Jennifer (Johnson) Omdahl. Marvis was a Des Moines area resident most of her life. She married Jesse McDaniel in 1942 and together they raised four children.
In addition to her husband Jesse, who passed away in 1996, Marvis was preceded in death by her parents, son Greg McDaniel, two sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by her children Mary Wilson, Sheila (John) Bandstra, and Randy (Sandy) McDaniel, 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A private family viewing will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave in Des Moines. A public graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the organization of the donors’ choice in memory of Marvis.
