The Life of MARY JEAN PETTY
Mary Jean Petty, 78, passed away on October 26, 2013 at Legacy Skilled Care in Waukee. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Westkirk Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, one hour prior to the service, at the church. Private burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mary Jean was born on June 15, 1935 in Des Moines, the daughter of John and Catherine Petty. She graduated from North High School. She worked at Broadlawns Medical Center as a Data Processor for 40 years. Mary Jean was a member of Rainbow Masonic Order at Highland Park Auburn Lodge. Mary Jean lived at the Village at Legacy Pointe.
Mary Jean is survived by her twin sister, Martha Jane; sister, Janet (John) Fletcher and seven nephews and their families. She will be greatly missed by those that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joan (Charles) Forst.
