The Life of JO ANN BANNING
Jo Ann Banning, 76, was called to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 26, 2013. She was born on March 27, 1937, in Des Moines the daughter of Daniel and Anna Price.
Jo Ann was a realtor, selling for Iowa Realty, Lundstrom Realty and Park Realty, as well as personnel director for Budget Marketing until her retirement. Jo Ann and her late husband, Arlan, were members of the Antique Automobile Club of America, her favorite car being “Big Red” a 1968 Red Cadillac. She was a member of Point of Grace Church in Waukee, enjoyed outings with the Golden Girls, but most of all, treasured her relationship with the Lord.
Jo Ann is survived by her daughters, Jody Marie (Larry) Stonehocker and Lea Ann (Phil) Gale; grandsons, Micklus Noble, Mitchell Blanchard and Shane Davis; brother, Milton (Phyllis) Price; and her beloved cat, Dolly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlan and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
