The Life of John Harrison
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2013 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for John Harrison, 80, who passed away on October 20, 2013 at 6:30 pm at his residence in Sunset, LA.
Reverend Morris Jeffery, Pastor of World Harvest Lighthouse Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Harrison, a resident of Sunset, was the son of the late Cornealous Harrison and the former Blanche Brewer.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rellie R. Harrison of Sunset, LA; two daughters, Jeanette Lovell and husband Rudy of Silver Lake, IN and June Wells and husband James of Baton Rouge, LA; two sons, Richard Smith and wife Traci of Montgomery City, MO and Marvin Smith and wife Tina of Texarkana, AR; 17 grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; three nieces, Toddy Acker, Diana Young, and Mona Acker; two nephews, Dempsey Harrison and David Harrison; and twenty two great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, and one sister, Loretta Harrison.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. Visiting hours will continue on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 8:00 am until 11:00 pm and again on Thursday from 8:00 am through the night, until the time of service on Friday October 25, 2013, at 1:00 pm.
