The Life of MARY ELIZABETH WALLACE
Mary E. Wallace was born March 10, 1924, in Runnells, Iowa, the daughter of Clyde and Viola (Bateman) McDonald. She was a resident of the Des Moines area for most of her life. Mary was the wife of Clayton Dale Wallace, who preceded her in death in 2007. She was ordained in 1987 and served as the minister for the Community of Christ Church in Des Moines. She also enjoyed being a part of the Des Moines Senior Singers. Above all else, Mary loved spending time with her family.
Mary passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle, Iowa. She was 89 years old.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Judith (Michael) Whisman of Chino, CA, Jessica (Dennis) Skove of Cool, CA, and Rosemary (David) Gill of Altoona, IA, five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 21, 2013, at Community of Christ Church, 1645 Pennsylvania Avenue in Des Moines, with a visitation period for an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
