The Life of IAN JOSEPH WARNOCK
Ian Joseph Warnock, 19, was born May 11, 1994 in Des Moines to Sherry Meyer and Robert Warnock. He passed away September 25, 2013 at his home in Des Moines from natural causes.
Ian attended Martensdale – St. Mary’s High School, graduating in 2012. He worked at Fareway in Highland Park and also as a detailer at Highland Park Auto. He enjoyed motorcycle racing, hunting, trapping, and playing guitar, but most of all, he loved hanging out with his friends.
Ian is survived by his father, Rob Warnock; mother, Sherry (Dave) Meyer; sister, Marika Meyer; step-siblings, Andrew Raes and Jessica Barbee; paternal grandparents, Charles & Gloria Warnock; maternal grandparents, Ronald & Johanna (Ann) Meyer; uncles, Michael (Sara) Warnock and Patrick Warnock; aunt, Katie (Larry) Zwart; cousins, Justin and MacKenzie Warnock, and a host of other family and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2013 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
