The Life of Victor Roche Raxsdale

Born February 28, 1927 in Alexandria, Louisiana. The Rite of Burial for Victor Roche "Vic" Raxsdale will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Grace Memorial Episcopal Church with Rev. Paul Bailey officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park, Lafayette, LA. Survived by: wife, Anne Cooper Raxsdale of Robert; sons, Troy W. Raxsdale, Sr. of Lafayette, Glen and Helen Raxsdale of Hot Springs, AR, Frank and Evelyn Raxsdale of Ponchatoula; sister, Dorothy Raxsdale Bowdon (William) of Houston, TX; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his former wife, Beatrice Glendening Raxsdale. Son of John Clarence Raxsdale, Sr. and Josephine Roche Raxsdale; brother of John Clarence Raxsdale, Jr., George Albert Raxsdale, Hugh Roche Raxsdale, Josephine Raxsdale Cancelosi, Elizabeth Raxsdale Bagby, and Jacqueline Raxsdale Treubig. He graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria, LA and was a graduate of Southwestern Louisiana University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Raxsdale was an engineer for WR Aldrich, Co. in Alexandria, LA and area manager for TL James & Co. Inc, LA until retirement. He was also a United States Army Veteran of WWII. In lieu of ?owers the family requests donations be made to Grace Memorial Espiscopal Church, or a charity of choice.
