The Life of FLOYD CARROLL COUNTRYMAN
Floyd Countryman, 76, was born April 29, 1937 in Adel, Iowa, son of John and Alice Countryman. He passed away September 22, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Floyd was a selfless man, always putting others ahead of himself. He was a hard worker who never complained. Floyd enjoyed fishing, camping, playing pool and Wii at the Southside Senior Center, as well as taking his dog, Penny on walks.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathy; his three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2013 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Floyd.
