The Life of ELIZABETH KAY GILL

Kay Gill, 63, was born May 7, 1950 in Boerne, Texas, the daughter of H.J. and Florence (Dixon) Babbitt. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 with her loving husband by her side. Kay was a valued employee for Peerless Supply for 41 years, working right up until the end. She was actively involved as a faithful member of Gospel Assembly Church in numerous aspects, especially in the printing department, dining room, and nursery. Kay had a passion for candy making as well as her flower gardens. She was always doing something for others and helping wherever there was a need. Kay was a very giving, loving person and always put others before herself. She not only opened her home to others but more importantly her heart. Kay is survived by her beloved husband, David Gill; siblings, John Babbitt, Dyana Alvarado, Alice Mumme, Jake Babbitt, Roselie Wiggs, James Babbitt, David Babbitt, Ronnie Babbitt, Douglas Babbitt and Harry Babbitt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.J. and Florence (Dixon) Babbitt. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Gospel Assembly Church, 7135 Meredith Drive in Urbandale, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Gospel Assembly Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Assembly Church in loving memory of Kay.
