The Life of EDWIN S. GREELEY
General Edwin S. Greeley was a retired banker and manufacturer. He entered the civil war as a First Lieutenant in the 10th Connecticut Infantry and rose to be its Colonel, and later was brevetted Brigadier General for his gallant services. From 1865 to 1885, he was a member of L. G. Tollotson & Company - makers of electric and railroad supplies. The firm continued as E. S. Greeley & Company until his retirement in 1905. General Edwin S. Greeley died on January 10, 1920 and is resting at Evergreen Cemetery.
