The Life of HERMENEGILDO RODRIGUEZ

Hermenegildo Rodriguez-Del Rio was an alderman for the 4th ward in the City of New Haven. He came to Connecticut as a migrant worker to work in the Farms of Cusucreo in Orange, CT. He and his wife Noemi raised ten daughters and three sons on Arch Street in the Hill Section. Although he was a farmer with a 6th grade education, he made sure that all of his daughters and sons received a college education. He was a long time member and founder of the Star of Jacob Christian Church.
