The Life of DONNA LOU RUNNING

Donna Lou Running was born on October 22, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa to Donald and Louise Running. She died July 30, 2013 in Helena, Montana. Donna grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Johnston High School. She was active in many sports and was a cheerleader. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa. She moved to Los Angeles, California and was an emergency room technician. Donna was active in the California Air National Guard. She later worked with the Los Angeles Police Department with troubled and homeless children. In addition, she worked as a grip for several film companies. Donna enjoyed extended visits to Stockholm, Sweden with the Possic family through the Youth For Understanding Program. After retiring from the Air National Guard, she moved to Minot, North Dakota before making Helena, Montana her final home near her brother, Blake Running. Donna is preceded in death by her mother, Louise A. Running. She is survived by her father, Donald B. Running and her brother, Blake D. Running. A gathering is being held at the Urbandale HyVee Club Room/Meeting Room, 8701 Douglas Ave., from 2-4 pm, Wednesday, September 11, 2013.
