The Life of George Thomas
George "General" Thomas, age 59, husband of Cathy Thomas and resident of Ansonia, passed away August 26, 2013. He was born in Derby, CT on Sept. 12, 1953 to Lonnie & Eleanor Sanders Thomas. He worked as a machinist for Farrel Corp in Ansonia. He is survived by his children Te''''Jay & Sheila Thomas of New Hampshire, 3 grandchildren, sister Marilyn Wooden of Ansonia, brothers Lonnie & Kent of New Haven, Larry of Seymour, Clifford of Naugatuck and Alan of Orlando as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Gary & Clide and sister Eleanor "Betsy" Thomas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30th at 10:00 a.m. at The Bishop Williams Memorial Church (C.O.G.I.C.) in Ansonia. Friends may call at church 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St., Ansonia, is entrusted with arrangements.
