The Life of Arnold Frederick Tyler

Arnold Frederick Tyler passed away on December 9, 2012 in Woodbridge, CT. Born in Ansonia, CT he was the son of the late Frederick and Edith (Berg) Tyler. He was 89. Arnold lived in Ansonia for 70 years and then in Sarasota, FL for 19 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp, from 1943 to 1946 and belonged to the American Legion Post # 174 in Oxford, CT. He also worked at Avco Lycoming for 33 years as a toolmaker. Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Elsie Ruth Tyler of Woodbridge, one son Gary Tyler of Derby, CT, three daughters, Lynn McConney of Derby, Donna Rosevear of Darien, CT and Carol Ann Tyler of Westbrook, CT. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Nancy Tyler. Visitation will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., Darien, CT on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 2PM to 4PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the McConney farm in August to celebrate Arnolds''s life. At a later date, family interment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice Care, 199 Park Road Extension, Suite 102, Middlebury, CT 06762.
