Peter P. Globun, 96

NORTH LIMA ­ There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Peter P.
Globun, 96, who passed away early Monday morning, Aug. 5.
He was born Jan. 22, 1917, in Youngstown, the son of Anton and Josephine
(Semach) Globun.
Peter was employed with the B&O Railroad retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Faith Community Covenant Church. Peter enjoyed playing golf.
His wife, the former Violet L. Kerr, whom he married Nov. 7, 1939, passed away March 17, 2012.
He will always be remembered by his son-in-law, Robert Gurgos of St.
Charles, Ill.; three grandchildren, Michele (Robert) Riley of Kansas City, Mo., Mark (Jill) Gurgos of McHenry, Ill. and Paul (Laura) Gurgos of Bartlett, Ill.; four great-grandchildren, Daniel, Anna, Rachel and Luke; a sister, Caroline (Michael) Roseman of Poland; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Gurgos; a sister, Helen Cuculich; and three brothers, Walter, Andy and Michael Globun.
Friends may call on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
