The Life of LILY ANN FLITCRAFT

Lily Ann Flitcraft, 88, passed away at Taylor House on August 12, 2013. She was born March 15, 1925 in Carney, Iowa, to Nick and Anna Udrovich. Lily was a member of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny where she was involved with Catholic Daughters and the Rosary Society. She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed camping, attending Bluegrass festivals and spending time with her family. Lily is survived by her son, Michael Flitcraft; daughter, Patricia (Jerry) Hamel; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents and her siblings. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2013 at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E. 1st Street in Ankeny, with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in loving memory of Lily.
