The Life of GUY ROGER BIONDI

Guy Roger Biondi, 70, passed away July 21, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. He was born January 12, 1943, in Madrid, to Guy and Jean Biondi.

Guy graduated from Madrid High School. He worked at Dahl’s Foods for ten years and at Trostel’s Greenbrier Restaurant for many years until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of Windsor United Methodist Church and had a strong Christian belief. One of his joys was his ’78 GMC Cabellero. Guy loved his family, sharing model trains with his grandsons, and was always concerned about others’ needs.

Guy is survived by his wife, Connie; sons, Bill (Patty) and Michael (Lisa); daughter, Paula (Jim) Suckow; grandsons, Joshua, Noah, and Jackson Biondi, and Corey Suckow; brother, Dan (Dorothy); sister, Nancy (Larry) Thompson; sister-in-law, Kathy Booth; and nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Darrell Booth.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Windsor United Methodist Church, 6222 University Avenue, Des Moines. Private burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
